How do I organize sources using collections and tags in Zotero?
Creating a new collection
Creating a new collection in Zotero is very simple.
From the Zotero desktop application navigate to Zotero's top menu, choose File and then New Collection.
Type the name of your new collection and its location (within your library or another collection). Then click Create Collection to create the new collection.
You can then drag and drop PDFs from your library to your new collection to populate it.
Creating Tags
To use tags in Zotero, select the source that you would like to tag.
On the right side panel there is a Tags view. To add tags select the "+" icon and type in your tag. This will also populate related and/or suggested tags. Select the Enter Button once you are done.
The remove tags select the "-" icon beside the tag.
