Yes. Copyright clearance happens when you request a digitization of a physical item or, in some cases, when you upload your own file to your reading list. 

When uploading a file, you will be prompted with the following pop up: 

Select one of the options to declare the content of your file falls under MRU’s Fair Dealing Guidelines or that you are the copyright owner of the content in the file. 

If you are uncertain, you can request to have the Copyright Advisor review the material and she will be in contact with you.
