Who can see my Reading List?

By default, Reading Lists are visible only to students enrolled in your course and to library staff.

Instructors have options to share their lists internally with colleagues:

  • Add collaborators or owners – Collaborators can edit a list; owners can edit and add other collaborators/owners.
    • To add someone, go to List Info → Manage Collaborators → add name(s) → Save.
  • Share a link for viewing or duplication – You can share a link that allows a colleague to make their own editable copy of your list and associate it with their course.
    • To create: Click the Share icon → Copy Shareable Link to List → share by email.
    • To duplicate: Paste the link in a browser → open List Menu (three dots) → Duplicate list → enter new title, select course, adjust Advanced Settings if needed → Create a List. The new list will then appear in the colleague’s D2L course, and any edits they make will not affect your original list.
