Bambu X1E 3D Printer

The Bambu X1E uses Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), the most widely-used type of 3D printing. This process involves feeding a thermoplastic filament into a heated nozzle, melting it, and extruding it layer by layer to build a three-dimensional object.

Specifications

Materials: PLA or PETG filament (various colours)

Software: Bambu Studio

File types: .STL

Machine details: Maximum Build Area  10 × 10 × 10 in (256 x 256 x 256 mm)

Production time: Dependent on the project scale, 10 minutes - several days

Procedure

  1. Create or download your 3D model. Save it as an STL and upload it through the Maker Studio  submission page on the Library website.
  2. Verify the following before submission:
    • The file is the correct dimensions that you require
    • The dimensions fit within the dimensions of the machine
    • The file is a solid mesh and does not have holes or open surfaces
    • You have chosen the appropriate material and colour for your print
