How can I optimise my OA Fee Finder search?
Use the Library's OA Fee Finder to find journals with waived or reduced Article Processing Charges (APCs) for MRU authors.
Basic OA Fee Finder journal search
Use the search bar to look up journals by:
- Journal Title
- ISSN
- Publisher (Imprint)
- Subject/Keyword
After searching, apply filters to narrow results:
- Imprint: Filter by publisher
- Who Pays: See if an MRU discount applies
- License Option: Open Access license type
- Publishing Model: Gold OA or Hybrid

Ensuring your eligibility for discounted Open Access publishing
To be identified as qualifying for waived or reduced APCs:
- You must be the corresponding author (or another author from a participating institution)
- You must use your MRU institutional email when submitting.
- The journal must be included in an MRU publisher agreement.
