The MRU Data Repository is MRU’s research data repository within the Borealis service, a network of institutional data repositories across Canada. It is intended primarily for research data and related supporting materials.

What can be deposited?

The repository is intended for research data, including datasets used as evidence in research and supporting materials needed to understand, validate, or reuse the data. What counts as relevant research data can vary by discipline and project.

In general, the repository is best suited to datasets, including full datasets, subsets of larger datasets, and replication data associated with research findings.

Tables of aggregate data, graphs, charts, posters, presentations, and similar outputs may be a better fit for a broader repository, such as an institutional repository or services such as Figshare or Zenodo, depending on the material and the purpose of sharing it.

Who can deposit?

MRU faculty, staff, and other affiliated researchers may deposit data in the repository. Students and external collaborators may also be eligible in some circumstances.
