How do I get a book or video that's on the Library shelves?

Course reserves are readings and other resources that instructors require or recommend for their courses, and that are borrowed directly from the Library Service Desk. Course reserves are generally textbooks, but they can also be DVDs or other items (a set of rocks for a Geology course, for example).

Course reserves are meant to provide quick access to many students in a course or program. Loan periods are generally short, typically but not always 2 hours. Note that the Library does not own every textbook or required reading for every course on campus.

Additional copies of some popular textbooks can also be found in the BookBoxes located around campus.
