Can I play music or show a film on campus for educational purposes?
Yes, you can play sound recordings, live broadcasts, or audiovisual works (such as films) on campus as long as it is for educational or training purposes.
Student groups and clubs can show films from the library’s Audio Cine Films database (pre-releases not included) for on-campus club events, without the need to fill out the Copyright Clearance Request Form. However, these film showings must:
- Be shown indoors
- Have an audience that primarily consists of students, instructors, or those directly responsible for setting the curriculum
- Be free of charge (no admission fees)
- Be advertised only on campus
