Q. Why am I getting a message saying that my access to MRU Library journals and articles has been suspended?
I was using the databases from home when an MRU message page displayed with the heading "Suspension of remote access". It said that my access to journal and article databases from MRU Library had been temporarily suspended.
An error message is displayed when a user downloads excessive amounts of materials in a short period of time. We have put these limits on downloads in place to prevent abuse of our electronic resources by robots and other automated processes. These restrictions are necessary because of our license agreements with the resource vendors.
When you see this message, it indicates that you have exceeded the download limits we've set. If you wait for about 15 minutes, your connection should be restored.
